Doug & Angie's Harley Trips...

We haven't been on a bike ride in over two years...  That's way too long!

We finally saved up enough money to get our Purple Harley Sportster back and we like taking day trips around exploring places we've never been and places we just like.  As we go around we will put up pics and comments about the trips here.  If there is someplace you know of we might like to try feel free to email us!

RIDE ON!

Happy 4th of July!  Today we pulled up a map and had Tiffiany point to a town. She pointed to Kirklin. It's only one county over so we took a round about way and hit 4 counties on the way.

We headed to the Twin Kiss drive in in Sheridan, got stopped by the July 4th parade.  I've never seen so many antique tractors.  I think half the town came to the Sheridan park to just hang out and watch the parade and enjoy a little of what small towns used to be like.  I wonder why Tipton doesn't do anything anymore.

We even got to see Cowboy Bob! It doesn't look like time has been good to him =)  He was selling photos of himself for $10  I'll just remember him on his old show playing cartoons for the kids...

When we got to the Twin Kiss, which is owned by Bill Anderson from the THS class of  '83, I was a little surprised to see him out front in his Weenie Man Costume out by the road flagging people in.  He has also started Maggie's Diner in Windfall.  They have good tenderloins and home made Elephant Ears!

We finally made it to Kirklin, toured the White Lion Antique store and cruised by a buffalo farm on the way back.  Plenty of sunshine and a great day for a ride!

Today was our first trip so we just went close.  We usually just wander the country roads on our way to wherever we are headed. Sometimes this means don't make it to our original destination, lol, if a road looks interesting, we take it!

We ended up in Upland this time.  went through a little town called Jonesboro on the way, ya, I know, that's not on the way. =)  There was an cool brick road down the center of town. It was well maintained, not like the brick road in Noblesville!

Turns out we missed upland and had to back track.  We saw some deer on the way there and apparently it was party day.  We passed at least 3 places that were having parties.

No trip to Upland is complete without stopping at Ivanhoe's.  They have 100 different sundaes so we had Chicken Salad sandwich. haha.  We also stopped at a nice little park for a break. That's where the pics are from.  We just decided to log these trips while we were sitting at the park and had to use the phone camera.  I'll start taking the camera nest time.

It was getting dark by this time and we could see storms off in the distance so we headed back, saw a fox on the way.
